Rep McCarter Hosts Annual Senior Fair

Cheltenham Area Branch NAACP participates and supports Pennsylvania State Representative Steve McCarter’s Annual Senior Fairs at Reform Congregation Israel located at 8339 Old York Road in Elkins Part, PA 19027.

The Senior Fairs are wonderful opportunities to learn about services under one roof. Exhibitors—including representatives from federal, state, county and local agencies such as the Montgomery County Aging, Adult Services, Veterans Affairs offices and the Cheltenham Area Branch NAACP —participate. They share information on health care, volunteer opportunities, prescription-drug plans, identity theft and so much more.

Attendees can:
• Apply onsite for a SEPTA Senior Key Photo ID card that allow senior 65 and older to ride transit free.
• Receive a flu shot (with proof of insurance)
• Apply onsite for a Montgomery County Veterans’ Photo ID Discount card (with discharge papers — a DD 214 or DD 256 form — and a photo ID, such as a PA driver’s license that proves you reside in Montgomery County)
