Our Essay Contest Winners 2012: Cheltenham Area Branch of the NAACP 2012 Essay Winners
The Cheltenham Area Branch of the NAACP which serves Cheltenham , Jenkintown, Springfield , and Plymouth Meeting and Whitemarsh Townships , gave four $500 scholarships to local high school students as a result of an essay competition earlier this year.
The winners were Jenkintown High School senior Aury Krebs (right), Plymouth Whitemarsh High school student Janelle Marie Grace (center), Springfield High School senior Calvin Speight (left), and Cheltenham High School graduate Francine Marquis (not in picture). In addition to the monetary awards, students received Certificates of Congratulations from their respective state senator, Daylin Leach, Vincent Hughes, and LeAnna M. Washington.
