Mental health: breaking down the taboos
During our February general body meeting, we are hosting a conversation to break down the taboos of therapy in communities of color and address the trauma that many Black people have faced throughout history and how that translates to the present day. We are pleased that State Representative Kenyatta Malcolm (181st District) and psychotherapist and mental health consultant Shayna Yvonne Rudd, MSED will be providing valuable content in this discussion led by our very own Lauren Camper, Cheltenham Area NAACP Education Chair. We are also happy that community partner, Community Hero Action Group is co-hosting this event.
